Wildfire Preparedness Planning
Preparing Your Community for Wildland Fire
Oklahoma Forestry Services assists communities to assess their wildfire risk and develop Community Wildfire Protection Plans and Firewise Plans. These plans provide an assessment of the hazards present and provide a plan to lower the community's wildfire risk through specific actions that will reduce the loss of property and improve the safety of residents and emergency responders. Assistance is available by calling 405-522-6158 or contacting OFS Firewise Coordinator, OFS Foresters, or the OFS Rural Fire Coordinators.
